Corporate Policy
Nippon Denko has been operating a wide range of businesses such as ferroalloys, industrial chemicals, new materials, environmental recycling systems, etc.We have strengthened the foundation of the ferroalloy and industrial chemical divisions and they act as our core businesses. We have also been endeavoring to expand businesses, in particular advanced materials and environmental recycling systems, as growing businesses, which were fostered by technologies cultivated by the core businesses, through intensive investment of management resources.

Ferroalloys
As Japan's top of manufacturer of ferroalloys, which are used as secondary raw materials for steel making, we have been maintaining domestic production of our main product, manganese ferroalloy, taking advantage of its cost competitiveness due to Tokushima Plant owning its own unloading berth.Furthermore, we have established our operational structure in globally competitive locations, shifting production of some products to overseas J/V companies.
Through such a structure, we are committed to continue to stably supply high quality products to various customers like major steel making companies.
Industrial Chemicals
We manufacture and sell chromium chemicals, widely used for surface treatment, inorganic pigment, refractories, etc., and boric products used for making glasses, dyes etc. They are indispensable materials in daily life, and we have gained a good reputation for their quality from domestic and international customers.Advanced materials
Our main products are highly purified zirconium oxide used for electronic components such as ceramic capacitors, optical glass etc., and ferroboron indispensable for making Neogym-Fe-Boron magnets that are used for HDD and drive motors required in hybrid cars, fuel cell cars, etc.A new addition to our lineup, by way of a corporate take-over, is lithium ion battery material. As a result, we have largely developed our business field.
Environmental Recycling System
We launched a recycling system with technology invented to remove chromium from the wastewater discharged by customers' plants, to whom we supplied industrial chemicals, and to reuse it as a raw material.We have enlarged our recycling field to include Boron, Nickel, Phosphorous, and Fluorine as Clean Recycling Systems with the aim of achieving zero-emissions.
We will make efforts to precisely meet the increasing needs of our times as a 21st century business. Our goal is to realize a recycling socierty that reuses resources and water in order to preserve our global environment.
